Hi There, just come from the alottment and some of the leaves on the spuds have turned yellow with brown patches on,a lot of the brown patches have holes in them. is it lack of something or is something eating them , ?

it depends - it could just be early maturing potatoes are naturally dying off

on the other hand, it might be the ground is so dry and they are dying off early due to lack of water

Thankyou, for the type of very dry conditions here [S E] you might be wright.can be difficult to get enough pressure in the hose to get all the way up the line, on our alottments if someone else is useing the taps it just dribbles.
