Hi All, I was after some help. Can anyone identify this plant with the yellow flowers that has invaded my strawberry bed? The growth has been pretty vigorous over the last couple of weeks. If its a weed, are there any tips for removing it without disturbing the strawberry plants?

Pretty sure it's wild geum - it pulls out relatively easily but spreads readily if you let it set seed.

Just googled wild geum and i think thats it. I thought i had a new strawberry variety growing in there!!

How has it ended up growing solely in my raised strawberry bed and no where else on the plot? Could it have been the hay i used on it last year?

That's a possibility, but it's a certainty you will have it all over your plot if you don't get rid of them before they set seed!
