Blue-eyed grass
« on: June 09, 2015, 11:53 »
I've just ordered a clump of 30 plants of these - they looked pretty  ;)

Anyway, I know nothing about these and info online seems a bit contradictory  :wacko:

Some say full sun, some say part sun and moist soil - need to know which end of the garden to plant them.
Dry raised bed with dry soil - or the edge of the opposite border which is in shade until lunchtime?

Also do I plant the whole clump together? If I split it do I plant them individually or just into smaller clumps, of how many roots?

I told you - I know nothing  ::)

They are a member of the Sisyrinchium family that produce lovely blue flowers. I had some but they may have been overtaken by the yellow variety. Anyway, they are in a raised bed in full sun with some moisture for their roots. I love them so must get some more. The yellow variety does self-seed a lot and the blue ones may do that as well if they are happy.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
