storing potatoes in cardboard boxes?
« on: September 21, 2014, 22:51 »
Is this a good idea, in my cool garage? Don't have any sacks but lots of (ahem) wine boxes.

Also my pink fur apple are already going soft despite being in dark garage. Is this normal? I only harvested them 2 weeks ago and thought they would last a few months?

Cheers

I always store potatoes in the green melon boxes from the supermarket. It means they're easy to check over in case they start going off.
