Potato Blight treatment
« on: June 27, 2014, 14:15 »
Hi, we are expecting a Smith period over the week end in Worcestershire so have followed DD's advice and sprayed with Bayer Fruit and Vegetable Disease Control.  I am told that this Bayer product is about to be removed from the market - EC regs. again.  Does anybody know of an alternative?

Mike.

I don't think that's right -Bayer's previous product Dithane was removed from the market ............ the one you've used is their replacement.

Bordeaux mixture is available, but that is also, like the bayer product, copper based.

There's a thread here about using soluble aspirin, and I'll try and find it for you.

Sounds odd, I know, but I was the second gardener to see it here!
