Sand for keeping carrots over winter
« on: June 05, 2014, 21:25 »
Is there a special kind of sand should one get for keeping carrots, and beets, in a sand box? Does one go to the beach, a builders' yard or to a garden centre?
Grateful for all information.
Thanks
Moira

you can just use ordinary potting compost - just make sure its not to wet and that the crops don't touch
