Can any one Pease help me as to what age my chicks should be when I swap there chick crumbs for growers pellets?

I change them over after they have reached 6 weeks onwards. I start by mixing a few in with their chick crumb and building up the amount over a few days.
Staffies are softer than you think.

if you buy organic feed then them having a small snack of growers wont hurt them or you, but if they have ACS added then as grinling says dont let the egg layers eat their feed.

ACS stands for anti-coccidiostat. This is a drug added to prevent coccidiosis which young birds are very prone to. Needless to say if you were to use any eggs whilst they were eating this or within a certain period of time , the chemicals would be in the eggs. I don't know what the withdrawal period would be.

As long as you are aware of this there is no problem using feed with ACS added and abide by the withdrawal period. :)

likewise it is not good for chicks to have layers because of the contents in that.
