Was very happy with the first 5 bags of B+Q but have just found a glove buried deep in bag no 6!

Could be a 'special promotion' - after 5 bags they think you might need a hand.  :unsure:  ::)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Groan  ::)  :nowink:  :lol:

I've been using Homebase stuff this year and that's not so bad.  A few bits that are a bit big and get picked out, but no germination problems so far  :)

Strangely, the 20l cheap bag of Garden Line compost from Aldi (£1.09) has been very good indeed... not many lumps or twigs and good germination of seeds too.

As I am not sure about the nutrient content I started feeding plants after three weeks, and they have all grown well

Excellent value and the smaller bags make it easy to store under the greenhouse staging too  :D

New Horizon peat-free mulipurpose is good if you are after peat-free. I get it at Blooms (Wyevale) 3 x 56 litre bags for £12.00. Probably not the cheapest but the quality is good.

B and Q Verve 125L by far the best quality for the money this year. Complemented with a bag of John Innes no 2 and all was fine.
I tried a bag of Jack's magic. I wasn't that impressed and it was well, well dearer.

Verve for me. I can cope the odd bit of silver paper or branch. Very happy with how my seeds have germinated with it too.
