Call Ducks
« on: January 08, 2008, 12:52 »
Hi All

I have a few different colours of call duck at the moment (white, apricot and blue fawn) and have just separated them ready for breeding. as well as letting the ducks hatch out their own clutchs i want to put some in the incubator, can someone tell me how many cooling down periods i should do a day and for what time span. Many Thanks  :)

I don't know that the cooling down  periods are essential.

I presume that you are trying to imitate the mother duck in the wild, in as much as she gets of for a quick pooh and a drink most days..

In the past, I've just opened the incubator up and given them a quick spray of warm water and that has sufficed.
