Echalion shallots, aka Banana shallots. Do these have to be grown from seed or can they be grown from sets?

You can grow them from either seed or sets.   I have had a lot of success with Longor from sets.  This year I am trying Zebrune from seed too.  I don't think you are guaranteed multiple bulbs if grown from seed though.
