Leggy Tomato Seedlings
« on: April 25, 2014, 13:55 »
Hi,

I am growing tomato seedlings on a south facing windowsill, they were initially potted in seed compost and were transferred to general purpose compost about 1 week ago in 3 inch pots. I replanted them down to the first seed leaves but over the last few days they have shot up.

They are now approx 2 inches tall and have the seed leaves and one true set, various varieties - moneymeker, gardeners delight, red pear, sungold.

Do I need to do anything?

If they're still on the windowsill, probably a good idea to put aluminium foil behind them to reflect light back onto them, to try to stop them getting too leggy too quickly.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
