I was wandering down to my plot and I've noticed 2 guys have planted rows of something that looks a bit like peas, any ideas? as I didn't think you could plant anything this time of year.

yes - it can be peas - some varieties can be overwintered

indeed feltham first and meteor are often autumn sown - but many round seed varieties can be over-wintered

They are plants currently 3" high. But with no protection of any kind. I only took over my plot about 6 weeks ago and I've dug over the 1 existing bit and cleared and dug 3 other beds that had not been used, so I'd be keen to start growing something. I'm in Bristol, it's sheltered - ish but we are getting frosts.
