This comes up every year, and I usually don't let it flower, treating it as a weed.

This year I have let it flower.

The photos were taken in bright sun, and the leaves are actually quite green, and very like a geranium / pelargonium.

It has persisted ever since we moved here, over 25 years ago.

Any ideas, please?

It looks like a tellima, I've got one in my garden.  Mine doesn't have white leaves though, I think that one looks a bit sunburnt, they like damp shady places, at least mine does.

I had a look on Wiki, and it is Tellima grandiflora for sure.

It is a native of N America; thus it may have been planted here by someone, or it may be a naturalised "escapee" from another garden.

I am now considering whether or not to continue treating it as a weed.
