Chook struggling to poo?? Urgent help/advice
« on: March 03, 2014, 01:45 »
Hi all im back with more questions. My 11 month old male was fine before i left for work at 4pm today i just got back n checked up on them as they normaly sleep on top of the coop so put them in everynight. I saw really runny poo and saw him struggling. I checked him over and i could see some tissue which seems blocking him up i tried some warm water to clean him up thought it may help but nope.. I think i could see some blood i think. not dripping down though. I hope he makes it till tomorrow. Going to ring vets in the morning to get an appointment.

Anyone experienced this before?

Hi all, he looked much better this morning the tissue went back in looked normal to me so i took him to vets anyway, couldnt see any serious problems. Did few normal droppings so was a good sign. He thinks the chook tried too hard pushing it all out as the poo was really runny lastnight. Gave some baytrill antibiotics to clear up any infection inside.

Baytrill worked really well last time.

Hes perky and running around his girlfriend.
