moving/storing Daffodils
« on: April 04, 2014, 10:56 »
Earlier this year I found a bag of Daff bulbs I had forgotten about, I put them in a corner of the allotment earmarked for my new herb bed as a temp measure and most have come though.
when the foliage has died back I want to reclaim this bed for its intended use, do I lift the bulbs and store or can I replant them immediately once I have decided their final location.

regards Ian D

Personally, I would lift and replant to save you the trouble of checking them whilst in storage.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Don't store them if you don't have to, plant them in their final location.

I agree, and as I said on another thread, I can see no reason not to move them "in the green".

But make sure they don't dry out, firm them in well, water and feed for the best outcome, next year.
