I personally wouldn't bother trying to grow from seed - bushes generally are not that expensive to buy

I believe it can be done, but it's a long, slow process (starting with freezing the seeds for a few months to prepare them for germination!)

I don't think any are F1, but your seeds are likely to be a cross between two varieties anyway, neither of which you know the identity of - they may or may not turn out to be suitable and/or good performers in your conditions.

If you've got the patience and the time (a few years before you will get any sort of crop) give it a go!  ;)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

They will grow readily from cuttings but the type of cutting and timing depend on the whether they are evergreen or deciduous varieties. Plenty of info. on t'internet.

thanks all for your help, i have 6 bushes already but i didn't want to waste the berries. good idea to take cuttings, will do that. i was thinking of the cost of berries in supermarkets against raising from free seed, i didn't realise they took years to produce. just me trying to be "frugal" again  :D. missuss calls it being tight tho'
