I am hoping to try dwarf sweet peas this year in pots. Will a florist's bucket be big enough and how many plants can I put in?

Yes, it should be.  I'd probably put 4 round the sides and 1 in the middle?

Others may have direct experience and suggest different numbers, though.

Make sure you feed and water well.

I have never grown these in those buckets but have in a hanging basket about twelve inches across, which is slightly larger: I had five around the edges and one in the middle and it made a decent display.

So logically, Yorkie's suggestion sounds spot on
