Do your scaffolders solve that problem in a different way?

Its not all that heavy ... wouldn't be that hard/expensive to send you some I would think?  I've had mine half a dozen years, and apart from a few holes that mice have made it is pretty much as good as new.

I have raised beds that OH made for me, all the same size 8ft by 4ft, so I have a frame which I put up each yr made out of the ball thingies and bits of aluminium tube, and a debris netting cover which I sewed on the sewing machine, with Velcro openings so I can lift the sides to weed and harvest.  It's really easy to sew, but a bit stretchy to measure out!   I can even wash it each winter in the machine.  Worked really well until my OH strimmed it last week... Had the cheek to complain that bits of it got stuck in his precious strimmer!

I was thinking of making a frame using debris netting but on a much smaller scale, sort of like a large square 6ft x 4ft (ish) cloche that I could just lift up for access as and when required, would this work?

Yup. Just make sure it's tall enough if you like the tall brassicas like sprouts or PSB - if the leaves touch the netting the butterflies can still lay their eggs through the mesh - even enviromesh it seems

We move them each year, there are 6 beds that size and the cages are moved forward each year for rotation.
The roof section has added cross members inserted in winter to take the weight of any snow, we also go up the lottie if it snows heavily and brush the snow off.
They are also staked/tied down so will not blow away.
