Lavender hedge

Hi everyone
I would like to grow a lavender hedge please can you recommend a variety that grows bushy and dosnt go woody after a couple of years please?

I'd go for one of the English lavenders as they are more robust in our winters - although I do notice you're down in Cornwall so a milder climate than mine.

I've got hidcote, I think, but it is a bit big after 3 years.  I suspect partly because I haven't pruned it effectively.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

A sunny, well-drained site and annual pruning at the right time is essential. For more info, Giggle specialists in this area for more advice and the most suitable variety for your situation.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Munstead tends to make a lovely low hedge.

Whichever you decide on, make sure you but all the plants from the same 'batch' as somehow there are always slight differences if you have to add in an extra one at a later date.
