I also have a old shoe box for seeds which I have customized.  With craft glue and cut up old packets etc very decorative lol

Be wary of mice chewing through the box.  Metal is safer, if its stored in a mouse accessible area.

Its in my dinning room I hope there are no mice  :ohmy:  I keep it in the bottom of my welsh dresser as I often like to look thro and plan on cool winter evenings - it is next to the wine rack and boot shelf - alittle corner of heaven :blush:

I use an old Christmas biscuit mix tin.  Celebrations I think.

I too use an old biscuit tin that was given to me by a friend "Celebrating 100 years of Guiding" her passion and my passion mixed together.  :)

I've got 5 plastic storage boxes :ohmy: that I resorted yesterday :lol: They're not big boxes I promise :wub:

does anyone remember floppy discs and the plastic base and a clear flip over lid boxes you could keep them in with little dividers etc - well my seeds are in one of them with dividers all clearly labelled by month so with succession sowing I can keep moving part packets up so I remember to sow some more as I get to that month. Ooops -- Sorry ---- lapsed into the theory there for a minute - the reality is they are in two boxes like that but a bit muddled currently and the overflow is two old biscuit tins.
