I can't remember who it was but over the last day or so someone mentioned growing something for the annual competition.  I just wondered how many of you out there were on allotments that held an annual event.  Mine does not to my knowledge.  

What is your experience of these events, useful and friendly with lots of admiration  :) or tetchy and filled with muttered expletives and veg espionage  :twisted: .  Something to discuss whilst waiting for the planting season to get underway.

It's the biggest communal fun and laugh we have Cawdor, some people don't come along unless they think they might win, but for the rest, it is a real fun get together of the year. :D  8)
