I started growing a Cocoyam months ago and it has only just poked its head above the ground. Its far too late to be planted out now, I think. Does anyone know if it'll keep until next year? Thanks!!

There is a lot about them on the web.  Mostly talking about growing them in Nigeria.  One site calls them "Elephant ear plant"
This site that I enclose does discuss UK propogation and has a plant that looks a lot like yours.  Try this.
