Plum problem
« on: August 16, 2013, 14:11 »
Our Victoria Plums are now ripening and we have a problem with Ants. The Ants march up the tree and eat at the ripe spots on the plums and damaging them.
Is there anything I can do to stop them ? I was thinking of the lines of grease or grease bands around the trunk to stop them .
Anyone with similar problems? How do I go about stopping the little *~#**@ 's

I think that is what my parents used to use. My trees are too small to fruit, so I am not 'lucky' enough to have that problem yet!  :)
