my onions are pulled and lying on the ground....will the rain hurt them :unsure: ::)

I brought mine in this morning too.  Been drying outside for a couple of days and now on racks in the shed.

I think just lifting them has saved them - I find they readily rot if they are still in the ground but thereafter they cope with being wet.  Drying them properly after will ensure they store better.

Mine are on a rack outside with a cotton sheet over the rack. Last night I put a plazzy sheet over that knowing that the rain was coming. What I didn't bargain for was the wind, which soon removed the plastic. The onions kept quite dry tho'. In fact the wind is now drying them nicely.
