Kurtail use for mares tail
« on: July 05, 2013, 14:40 »
Hello.

Has anyone used Kurtail before please? We have Mares Tail and it is getting worse. I don't want it getting out of control but it is now really annoying me, so I want rid of it.

Is Kurtail ok to use with having 2 cats? is it safe? I just cannot get rid of it, so will try almost anything..

Cheers
Mark

I'm afraid Kurtail is for professional use only now, Mark.  You have to have a spray certificate.

Hello,
I have some on my allotment, it comes in from the next overgrown plot!

I have had some success with spraying with gramoxone and then covering with a plant pot with a brick on top, to keep out the light and also stop the pot blowing away.

Slow but sure!

Cheers!
STOP, and smell the roses!

JimB, I'm not sure which moderator locked this thread, but they did it for good reason.

First of all we were talking about a substance for professional use only, then you add to it by stating that you use a substance (Paraquat) that is actually banned in the EU!

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Slip of the keyboard, I actually meant to say Glyphosate instead of the forbidden one!

Anyway Glyphosate  and the black overturned plastic pot works just fine, but time consuming!

Cheers
