So we bought loads of new plants and have put them in one of our beds to find that many are being decimated by something and I assume its slugs since I found some on the green leaves of our lupins yesterday, but do slugs eat the greenery of lupine and dahlias?  One of the dahlias literally has no greenery on it at all now...

Slugs and snails certainly LOVE dahlias - well, mine anyway  chewed all the new shoots off

Hmmm... I that c I'm going to have to buy some more of my natural slug pellets that I used on the allotment last year...

Since I caught one of the snail culprits sitting on a chewed dahlia shoot laughing at me  I have built a blue wall around each plant.  Now I am having the last laugh

Is it true ashes keep the slugs away?
