Morning all, as this is my first time growing broad beans, i'm not totally sure of things but after reading a couple of posts on here, i'm guessing they may have chocolate spot, there are quite a few brown spots on leaves and brown colouring at the base of the plant, will get a pic up when i go out, question is, if it is chocolate spot, what should i do? thanks

They can still grow with it i think, but to be honest mine were smoothered and full of blackfly plus they had started to fall over and look messy so out they came.

I wasnt sure we would get a good harvest but that was reasonable when we opened the pods up.

I must have had beginners luck with the blackfly, i noticed about a dozen on one of them, and again, after reading on here, i nipped the tips off, and did'nt seen them again  Thanks BQ, I shall leave them

Chocolate spot does not usually do a lot of harm unless conditions are hot and very humid. Then the spots will grow until they meet and all the leaves are destroyed.
