Spare grow bag in greenhouse
« on: June 23, 2013, 20:37 »
I have one spare growbag left in my greenhouse, in amongst numerous toms, cucumbers and chilis. First year I've had one. What have I got time to grow in it, ideally from seed, and get a harvest this year? Any thoughts or suggestions?

I was put on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things; right now I am so far behind I will never die.

You'll not get a harvest from melons or aubergines sown now so I'd suggest something a little more mundane. Exotics tend to need a long season in our miserable climate. You need to look at time from sowing to cropping of the various plants then take it from there. Personally I'd go for beetroot or French beans at this time of year.

Agreed, Not if actually sown now from seed, but there is time if OP is willing to opt for plants. Weather-willing, of course. We much prefer the seed option, too, but sometimes needs must....

I have the same thing in my polytunnel, I did not know what to grow as I have most things already growing in there.
So I decided to stand it on its end, then with my strawberry runners I would cut and plant through small holes  lots of strawberry plants hoping to get an extra early crop next year.
