There many members of this forum that use it and are more than happy with the results.

DD I am well aware that Debris Netting is widely used, greenhouse shading included so perhaps the op's neighbour was just passing on an opinion.
I also use the stuff as I mentioned; having suffered a rather nasty attack of aphid and whitefly on my brassicas it is my opinion that Debris Netting is not suitable as an insect barrier.

My first year using it and results are great so far. (looks for some wood to touch...

My guess is he forgot to put the word "out" after "with"
