Hello Again.
We're a bit confused. We bought some tulip bulbs 3 years ago Which flowered last year & again this year but as soon as they come into flower they open completely as if they are a daisy (flat) so they don't look at all like tulips, we've the same problem with crocus bulbs. They are in a large planter & good quality compost, in full sun & well watered when required. They were bought from a garden centre & not a pound shop.
Any ideas.

Mine tend to open wide when the sun is on them and then close later.  Do they stay open all the time?

Yes they open up & stay like that until the petals drop

Perhaps they need to go somewhere with a bit more shade, but some varieties are more open than others.
