sterilizine ?

Having inherited a very old garage I have found allsorts tucked away  :wacko: the latest being a half gallon ( unopened ) of Sterilizine , the are some near unreadable directions and just wondered what it could be for , anyone ????

tried Google and got only medical instrument info  :wacko: its definitely gardening as I can make out "glasshouse" and "vine" on the label .

If it's that old, it may be no good or actually illegal since they banned a lot of chemicals a few years ago.
I would probably look to getting it disposed of properly and safely.
Your local council should have info on that. :)

Hi looked it up it contains ethanol ,chlorine and antitoxin and it was used to steralise wounds before surgery so maybe it was used to clean greenhouses ....

Thanks all , it was sold to sterilize veg borders and greenhouses and there is enough in there to make 200 gals of cleaner !!!! :ohmy: Sooooooooooooo no I wont be tempted to use it  :wacko:  :wacko:

We're not supposed to use Jeyes to sterilise borders anymore so I definitely wouldn't want to use it for that purpose.

My father in law always sterilised his greenhouse beds - his toms always did taste a bit odd ???
