Steam Cleaners
« on: March 03, 2013, 10:35 »
Hi - am considering getting a steam cleaner for the home but also one I could use on my Eglu cube to get into the joints and bits I cant get to regularly....  I hear steam cleaning is an effective way to get rid of red mite.
Does anyone have  a brand/style they use and can recommend?

sorry - I use the one from our works but that is a huge industrial one so cant help you with a domestic one.
Staffies are softer than you think.

Have a look at wallpaper stripper kits as well, some of the same wattage are 1/2 the price of steam cleaners.

Great for de-icing the freezer ! :)

I've got a small hand held one and they are very good at getting into nooks and crannies and really takes a lot of the elbow grease out of some jobs.

I havent used it in anything chicken related though

We have a Polti Vaporetto which cost about £350.00 about 14 years ago, but it still goes strong. :)

IMHO 9 out of 10 on construction and 9 out of 10 on performance ! would of given it 10 out of 10 on construction if the lead a little longer ! In all honesty apart from that I can@t fault it  :D

I have a simac, bought it a few years ago for about £30 and it is brilliant.  Loads of attachements.  can steam clean; carpets, windows, tiles, hard floors, work surfaces, get creases out of clothes, grease out of crevices.  Very sturdy build, big enough to steam for about an hour before refilling but small enough not to be impractical.

This model.

Brilliant.
