I am planning a runner bean frame on my veg patch but would like to plant some thing in the middle of the frame is there anything i can plant here or best to leave it plant free... its a A frame structure i am planning on.

Not much light reaches the middle once the runners are growing strongly, plus if you've planted them closely, I think you would have trouble getting to anything planted there.

I plant colourful lettuces around the base of my bean rigs and plant sunflowers in with them, eg Velvet Queen which is about 5 to 6 foot tall and looks gorgeous.  Sweet peas look good too
I did a squash Sweet Mama one year which did very well scrambling about with the beans. It's not too rampant so didn't take over and was easy to keep under control. 

I know people do corn but I've not done it myself

I understood the OP wanted something to grow in a row inside/between the rows of bean poles......
