can anyone advise me one of my hens a sussex died 2months ago,her bottom was all cloggy while i tried to clean her she litrally died in my arms ,now im a bit worried that another hens bum is going the same way what am i doing wrong hercule

Are these birds from a reputable source? Are they vaccinated (in the case of hybrids)  What are you feeding them on which might give them the runs? 

If you start with healthy birds, feed them the right diet and keep them in hygienic conditions then all should be well. Hens don't live long lives and sudden deaths are not uncommon but if we get things right for them then we stand a better chance of them leading longer, more egg productive lives

I'd start looking at what they're being fed on

You asked this on chicken chat with replies, but another thought from me.
Had your chickens been grass grazing before winter and then kept in their run or have they grazed on grass all the time?
Are they drinking alot more?
Have you changed food suppliers?
Have you wormed recently?
Have you made sure there are no maggots around vent?
Somebody is bound to think of something else, but look at your other post.
