rockery plant/flower seeds
« on: February 10, 2013, 19:17 »
Hi, I have just moved house, there are a number of rockeries in the garden including a pond with a rockery, I always love the look of rockery  plants in garden centres and i think rockeries add character to a garden.  I have no idea about rockery flowers, but is there anything I can grow from seed.  :)

You're predominantly looking for alpine plants, which are low growing and accustomed to relatively low level fertility.  The plants tend not to like waterlogged conditions - they can cope with the cold but not so much the wet.

You'll be able to get seed from most catalogues, but to get an idea of varieties you can look at the AGS catalogue here:

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Get a packet of these as well:

Mixed Sedum

Cheap as chips!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
