a nice blue Araucana free range egg - tastes the same as my other hens free range eggs but in a very pretty coloured shell  :D
Staffies are softer than you think.

One of my old egg customers reckoned that my araucana eggs tasted better than any others!

To me, as long as its fresh and comes from one of Brian's chickens ( ;)) they all taste wonderful.  But for boiled, got to be 3 days old!  :)

quite a few people say they taste different but I don't think so, there was also a rumour that they were lower in cholesterol but again that is a load of old tosh, they are exactly the same  :)

I dont have any hens that are laying yet, but when I do I like the Maran eggs

If I am lucky the farm near me has eggs, but he sells out fast, so its Tescos 'finest :(' when he runs out

I cant wait until I have eggs from my hens :)
It's all about the journey, not the destination

They all taste the same but my White Leghorn hen lays very big eggs so I guess they would be the best.

Duck of course! :tongue2:

Big, yummy, bright orange yolk for dipping. It's all about the yolk!
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

I think all the eggs taste good from my lot. What I have noticed with the speckledy's eggs that I get is that the shells are a lot better and do not get soft shelled eggs from these birds.

The shells on her are always quite good, I've had her just over 4 years and she's prob my most consistent layer (when she wasn't going broody the first summer I had her).  But also she doesn't lay the largest of eggs but the ratio of yolk to white is good, so extra dipping :D

I'm with Kate on this one, duck wins hands down 8)
Araucana are pretty tasty, not the greatest layers though.
