hi got a gooseberry plant and a rasberry plant  would it be better to plant them in a big pots and grow them on till autumn then plant them out on allottment or plant them now straight in the ground and risk frost killing them

frost/snow won't hurt them - plant as soon as you can - assuming the soil isn't frozen or waterlogged  ;)
