As I don't grow potatoes my theory is to manure the beds which will have the brassicas and curcubits in this year thoughts please?

Brassicas favour beds that have been manured the previous season, and have firm soil.

To dig in manure in the same season flies in the face of both these things. I wouldn't do it.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Curcubits will love it, along with any pea/bean family.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
