leeks
« on: December 10, 2012, 17:22 »
Tried growing leeks for the first time and they're disappointingly thin. I now know why having read other postings: planted too late and too close together. My fault.

But if I leave them in overwinter, are they likely to get much bigger?
thx

Don't know where you live (no location in your personal profile) but assuming it's the UK they are unlikely to grow any more until the longer days and warmer weather return, and even then they will probably quickly start producing seed heads so you will be wishing you'd cut your losses and eaten them as baby leeks. Sorry.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older
