Not jumping on any hens
Quite weak however i've given him some instand energy stuff
Any help would be very much appreciated

You need to get him to a vet - when they show signs of being ill they really are very ill. He may have an infectious respiratory infection - you say flu so is he sneezing, raspy or chesty breathing, any watery or bubbly eyes, does his breath smell?
Staffies are softer than you think.

I second that you need to consult a poultry friendly vet.

You don't say how old your cockerel is so take it that he is not an elderly bird and just showing signs of ageing.  Worm burden can cause weight loss but best not to guess and get a professional opinion asap.   ;)

He just seems to act like he has flu, however he's not showing any of those signs you mentioned, (sneezing, bubbles in eyes, smelly breath etc.) He's coming up to 3 and I did think about worms however all our chickens got wormed at the same time about four months ago.

it may just be time to worm again, however, he should see a vet to be sure :)

Vet said worms however there's no flubenvet or anything available to buy as they're all out of stock... what would you suggest I use instead? :(

There are places online that you can order either the flubenvet or the layers pellets that already have the flubenvet in.  There are couple of recent topics on the shortage and where people have managed to find some.  Hope you get sorted.   ;)

if you cant get any (and it seems you are in urgent need of a wormer) your vet can prescribe Ivermectin or Panacur. As these aren't licensed for poultry you vet will need to work out the dosage and as this is for a cockerel you won't need to have an egg withdrawal period.

question
Should i get a cockerel
