Hi all,

My little pekin has got a lump under her right eye, it has grown from monday to something quite big. (I will try and put a pic up soon) She still eats and drinks (tries too anyway) however she is incredibly thin and light. Any ideas how to cure this/help her? Thanks

Have you noticed her sneezing at all? Dolce, my Orpington, had a swollen eye in spring, and was sneezing a bit, and it turned out to be a mild respiratory issue, which was treated with eye drops and antibiotics  She was also quite underweight, so it sounds like your Pekin might have something like this. I hope she gets better soon!

No sneezing, just a big swollen lump under her eye, but her eye is going a tad crusty... where can I get the antibiotics? Thanks!

Hi Chloe

To get antobiotics you would need to take her to the vet so that they can make a diagnosis and prescribe something appropriate. Are you registered with a vet?

have you tried bathing the eye with salt water?

We took her to a vet and they said that she's too far along and as what she had came on so fast there was no way to save her So they put her down. Thank you anyway.
