My sprouts are doing well and it won't be long before I can harvest some sprouts. Do I remove bottom leaves as I harvest or do I remove leaves before I harvest?

Remove them as they start to turn yellow.  As long as they are green, they are still doing work in collecting sun?  Compost them, don't leave on the ground to harbour pests and deseses. (I hate that word, I can never spell it correctly).
