brussels recommendations?
« on: October 08, 2012, 20:21 »
Doing the Kings seed catalogue and wondering which BS to get - Cascade, Revenge or Trafalgar F1s, or Evesham Special... with Evesham massively cheaper, but then again, only need half a dozen plants so 500 seeds would last a long time.

Main aim is Christmas harvest. Any suggestions?

ta!

Trafalgar have provided me with a decent sized, good quality for a few years now. I can't compare them to the others you mention though.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Revenge do well for some of the other plot holders on our site so I'm going to try them next year.

oh no, this is buying my seed for next year!
as covered in another thread, I was too late with this year's BS (Darkmar) and they have no sprouts formed, so I guess I'll eat them as greens if nothing happens by the end of the month!

Thanks all, am going to give trafalgar a go

I've found another good one to be Nelson.

I'm not joking here! There has to be some connection between Nelson and Trafalgar.

trafalgar - at least in my garden - seem to be a magnet for whitefly and mealy bug so i have to grow them in a giant enviromesh tent and then use the bayer spray if they get thru that.
