Do you know how long your cockerel has been like this? Have his droppings appeared normal? Are the colour of his comb & wattles normal?

I think a little water is a good idea, do you have any glucose or better still something like Avipro plus that you could add to the water to try and get some nuitrients inside him.

Sorry for all the questions but they may help identify what is wrong

his comb and wattles are fine saw him yesterday he was ok eating but not quite himself then today he collapsed and that's when my husband brought him in he's been standing in his box with his eyes closed how often should give him some warm water to drink? i dont have glucose just sugar and honey i'm afraid i don't trust vets as they don't have a clue have had problems in the past with hens and vets so would rather try and save him or put him down myself .

I would take him to the vet to be checked over.  There is a list of recommended poultry vets on the Stickies information bit on here

if you cant find one in our list try looking at this list from the omlet website. you really do need to get him to a vet as he could be in pain.
Staffies are softer than you think.
