overwintering onion sets showing already.
« on: September 09, 2012, 09:32 »
i bought 100 onion sets and put them in at the 31st august. i went to do my usual watering and tidying last night and at least 6 of the sets have shooted. whats the best way of looking after them when the cold weather comes in do i need to cover with fleece or just leave them to fend for themselves?

Just as their name suggest, they are designed to over-winter without any molly-coddling. Just leave them to get on with it!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
