my aubergines are about 4-5 inches long, and dont seem to be growing any more. compared to the ones in the supermarket they're tiddlers. anyone know a bit more about these plants? like should they be harvested now etc?

I am so impressed you have any. My plants stopped growing and have sulked.
Only just showing a couple of flowers. :(

I picked my aubergines last year when they were about 5-6 inches. If the weather improves they may get a bit bigger. If you pick them small they taste better anyway.

Depends on the type you are growing, the ones I am supposedly growing are dwarf ones and should be small, so long as they are right colour and ripe eat them!
Very often quite lost- would be more lost if I could work out where I was!- But always find my way home.....

Got plenty of flowers this year but no aubergines.

Last year I grew some long purple aubergines, which I thought would be ermmmmm long?  But they were only about 3-4 inches long!

At least you've got some!

you pick them while they're still shiny, once they've got too old the skin loses the shine  :(
