im going to move my raspberrys soon,,to another bed,,should i cut the tops down a bit as there 4 to 5ft tall,,,,,also when i transplant,,do i plant single canes or as they are now in 4 to 6 cane clumps    ty

yes cut the rasps down once they have finished producing fruit, then dig them up and seperate them, im going to have to do my neighbours rasps soon too!

Still cut all the canes that have fruited down to the gound, and just take the tops off any new canes - to help with the shock of moving. If you cut all the new growth off you'll maybe not get any fruit next year :( If it were me I wouldn't separate to individual canes, perhaps split your clumps into 2  ;)

Yes - wait until autumn when the sap levels fall. Keep the best canes from the clumps, remove the weakest ones, then see what space you have to fill re- separating clumps of canes or not. I'd not divide them too much as has been said, but it depends on the size of the clump..
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
