Dear God, Please can you stop the wind and rain and bring on the nice weather. Amen

Normally you pour a few drops of mineral oil right on them and it will suffocate them. If you have access to any diatomaceous earth, sprinkle some of that or sulphur powder right on them. Any of these will work.

If you are growing Brassicas you won't have corn earworms  :nowink: I don't think it's a pest we get in the UK (at least I can't find any references to it here)

They'll probably be the caterpillars of the cabbage white butterfly.

It's best to cover your brassicas with fine netting to stop them getting on there in the first place.
Now your options are to pick them off and squash them or RHS shows

Spray with pyrethrum (Py Spray Garden Insect Killer) Scotts Bug Clear Gun for Fruit & Veg,
Check the container for how many times you are allowed to spray the crop each year though.

Could it be these, http://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?id=4433

I favour Pick & Squish for caterpillar control. ;)
