Parsnips are the longest growing vegetable in the allotment.
They are sown very early and its usually late autumn/winter before they are cropped.
Different from carrots and beetroot, which can be sown at intervals.

Try some turnips not to late for them .
Get the kids involved let them have a small are to sow quick growing things so the can see them growing .
A great way to keep them involved.
