You two may scoff all you like :tongue2: :D It will be lovely when its finished...... I'm SURE it will be lovely.....when its finished :D

This is where they are all going. Its a bit of a dumping ground for any left over plants from the garden this year but i hope this time next year the whole bank will be planted with lavenders.
OH and grandson are putting a fence across with a little gate at the bottom of the steps in the summer holidays. Buts it very much a work in progress at the moment.

Thank you both

The seedling lavenders sown last summer are coming on nicely now.

I was looking at lavender plants in the garden center at the weekend,  about the same size- but i didn't think as good- and they were £8.99 each  So it is worth buying a packet of seed and growing your own, if you can wait a year.

I've got another 200 plants coming on from seed in the greenhouse, cost £4.40

These are the plants from seed sown about this time  last year. :)

those look great Spana!

from the two tiny seedlings I had on 31st May the whole tray has germinated and there must be 25+ healthy looking plantlings (between 2 and 4 inches tall)  :D

I'm going to pot them on soon -  should I be pinching out the tip to make them bush or wait a bit longer?

Mine seemed to grow one stem longer than the others. I cut these off and rooted them as cuttings to make extra plants.

But yes i did pinch them out. I just sort of did it when they looked as if they needed it, nothing more technical than that and it seemed to work :)
